All of our engineers are CORGI registered and carry our computerised Domestic Boiler Encyclopaedia® which contains manuals for all domestic boilers built since 1980. This gives us the best possible information to diagnose faults and carry out boiler repairs correctly and efficiently.
Our team has over a hundred years of boiler service experience collectively and have been chosen to participate in the Worcester Bosch partnership Business Initiative Scheme www.worcester-bosch.co.uk
We also carry out Gas safety checks for rented properties.
How we work: For repairs we work on our hourly rate and services at a fixed price.
For new boilers or replacements Staunch and Flow operate an estimate/consultancy service. We come to your premises, assess the job and issue a written report specifying the scope and cost of the work.
This means that if you want other estimates for the job you have our specification which you can issue to other bidders. This will enable you to have a fair comparison between the estimates that you receive.
These consultations cost £80 + VAT. Our consultancy visits are scheduled just like any other job so we guarantee to turn up on time or keep you informed if we are running late. If we get the job we credit back the cost of estimate/consultation.

New Boilers
High Efficiency Condensing Boilers: As of April 2005, the government has insisted that all new boilers shall be high efficiency models. This is to save energy and reduce CO2 emissions. With high and rising energy bills installing these boilers will save you money.
These boilers are called condensing boilers as they recover a lot of otherwise wasted heat by using the hot flue gases to preheat the return primary water in the system.
This heat recovery means that the invisible water vapour in the combustion gases is condensed back into water which creates a plume of water vapour (like a cloud). Heat efficiency of these boilers is rated at 90-91% efficiency. These boilers reduce gas bills by up to 30%.
Boiler Replacement
After a time the cheaper boilers suffer corrosion and all boilers begin to fail over the years. If there are several faults on an old boiler or a fault requires expensive work and parts, we recommend a new boiler. We cannot guarantee replacement parts to old boilers will fix the problem permanently, often when boilers start going wrong everything starts to go and it costs more to replace the parts than go for a new boiler. |
